Audiences know from the first song that this training is unlike anything they have ever experienced. The opening song strikes an indelible chord, setting the stage for a thought-provoking discussion about perspective, perception and awareness. Jerry then illustrates the first hand, real life impact of Dr. William Glasser's Five Needs: • Survival • Belonging • Power • Freedom • Fun Using these five needs as a central theme, Jerry draws audiences into a unforgettable experience of research, stories and songs illustrating the tremendous struggle kids undergo and the many challenges that arise in trying to meet these needs. Most of all, awareness comes when Jerry shares two spell binding sequences of stories, visuals and practical insights. First, Jerry’s own struggle to meet these same needs- a story which leaves audiences with new, unforgettable perspective on challenging kids. Next comes the most memorable lesson of all — the story of Mike, a struggling student in Jerry’s classroom. It is Mike’s story and his incredible transformation that most clearly illustrates the strategies that can be used to create positive outcomes for all students. It is this story that will leave all who attend changed and motivated to learn new ways of responding to today's youth.
